A Mission and heartfelt Vision
ACF USA supports the rescue & rehabilitation of abused & injured animals in Pakistan and the importance of spreading awareness on this cause & advocating for social change to create a more civil, compassionate society.
Our vision is for animal welfare to become a norm that will lead to a kinder society for humans and animals alike.
ACF Animal Rescue
The Ayesha Chundrigar Foundation, affectionately known as "ACF," was established in 2013 as a Non-Profit and stands as a beacon of hope for animals in Pakistan.
Before ACF came into existence, there was little awareness or support for animals in distress or, in fact, animals in general, across Pakistan.
ACF has emerged as a pioneering force in the realm of animal welfare in Pakistan. It tirelessly operates through various programs, community engagement efforts, and awareness campaigns, all with the aim of fostering compassion within society and advocating for the importance of robust animal rights laws.
At ACF, we firmly believe in a holistic approach that considers the well-being of animals, humans, and the environment in unison.
In our journey, we've come to realize that helping animals goes hand in hand with empowering the people who care for them and creating safe, healthy environments for all.
Making a Real Change
Over the past decade, ACF has served as a haven for over thirty thousand (30,000) stray and abused animals through our active rescue service and helpline.
Our unwavering commitment has not gone unnoticed, earning us numerous accolades, both nationally and internationally. Among these is the prestigious Pride of Pakistan award at the Pakistan Day Award Forces parade in 2021, as well as the Recognition of Exceptional Service award by Pakistan Rangers, Sindh.
“ACF's impact has extended beyond borders, reshaping Pakistan's image on the global stage. We proudly received the first-place award in the "Tell Her Story competition, a joint effort by the Institute for South Asia Studies at UC Berkeley and Facebook.
ACF has initiated several impactful programs since its inception. Notable among them is our mass vaccination campaign for stray dogs, coupled with a TNVR (trap, neuter, vaccinate, and release) program aimed at humanely controlling the street dog population.
ACF has also collaborated with the Sindh Wildlife Department and local authorities to rescue monkeys and flamingoes from animal markets, providing them with a chance at rehabilitation.
In addition, our commitment extends to equine welfare, as our dedicated team provides free medical care, food, water, and educational outreach to donkeys, while also distributing humane soft harnesses and sturdy carts to deserving donkey owners. This initiative not only reduces animal abuse but also empowers families by enhancing their livelihoods.
