The
Struggle
to Get Here
What does “here” mean — and why does it matter?
When we were first told we need to move, I thought, okay, this work is becoming impossible now 😣 A 5th move to a new rented space with 2000+ animals is TOO much again.
But then…I decided I’m going to create something that stays forever. With 13 years of experience behind me, I wanted to show the value of animals. Through a place that is beautiful and functional and so unique at the same time.
We purchased our own 2.25-acre sanctuary in the heart of Karachi
This land represents permanence, safety, and the first real opportunity to build a purpose-designed rescue and rehabilitation facility for animals who have nowhere else to go.
A place that animals can call home for life.”
From October 2024 to January 2026
In just over a year, despite operating while continuing full-scale rescue work, we have completed the foundational infrastructure required to support a permanent animal welfare sanctuary.
Where are we now
WHAT WE URGENTLY NEED: WHAT MUST BE FUNDED NOW
The foundational infrastructure of ACF’s permanent sanctuary is complete. The urgent requirement now is 1st phase of functional completion — the systems and spaces that allow the sanctuary to operate safely, humanely, and at scale.
These are not expansions. They are essential operational components.
Any amount helps. We have only got here because of your support ❤️🙏

Goal:
ACF is building a self-sustaining, zero-waste sanctuary designed to run responsibly, efficiently, long-term, and at scale.
Zero-waste ecosystem: Donkey manure composting + organic waste reuse, with compost returned to the land through plantations and soil recovery—nothing wasted, nothing dumped.
Growing food on-site: Cultivating vegetables and animal feed to reduce reliance on suppliers and lower long-term operating costs.
Water independence: Rainwater harvesting + sustainable wastewater reuse, plus multiple tube wells for uninterrupted supply and more resilient access in a water-stressed city.
IMPACT OUTCOMES - WHAT THIS CREATES
FOR ANIMALS
A permanent haven from life on the streets Safe recovery, rehabilitation, and long-term care Species-specific sanctuaries built for dignity and peace Ethical rehoming pathways and international adoption readiness
FOR PEOPLE
A rare quiet, healing space in Karachi Built for calm: no overcrowding, no chaos, no overstimulation A sanctuary where individuals and volunteers can thrive at their own pace
FOR THE CITY
Native birds already returning to the land A living example of coexistence between humans, animals, and nature Proof of what animals look like when they are safe — and stay safe
